Chief Product Officer at Moodle

Marie is a product strategy professional with more than 20 years of experience, the last three at Moodle. 

As Chief Product Officer, Marie leads the 90 people at Moodle who design, build and maintain Moodle’s product portfolio, which includes Moodle LMS - the world’s most popular open-source learning platform used by over 400 million learners and educators globally to improve our world. 

She is most passionate about shaping product teams that love what they do: creating products people love.

Marie is also a Non-Executive Director at a not-for-profit organisation supporting people experiencing homelessness, family & domestic violence and mental health issues in her home state of Western Australia.

CEO of Moodle 

Scott Anderberg has dedicated his career to supporting organizations around the world to develop and deliver better educational experiences online.  

He started this journey in the USA at the eCollege help desk, directly supporting educators and students in their teaching and learning activities and was instrumental in their product, sales and account management functions. Following the acquisition of eCollege by Pearson, Scott spent 15 years in roles spanning from market development across EMEA to establishing and launching Pearson’s Online Program Management business in Australia and leading Pearson’s Online Learning Services business in markets outside of North America. 

Scott joined Moodle in February 2024 to replace Moodle Founder Martin Dougiamas, who after 24 years as CEO, announced his transition to Head of Research. Scott is incredibly excited to be joining the Moodle community to continue to enable Moodle's impact for educators and students around the world.

President, Exputo Inc

David Pesce is a dedicated Moodle expert and advocate, specializing in learning platform hosting, support, and consulting. As the founder of Exputo, he works directly with organizations to design, optimize, and extend Moodle for education and professional training. David is an active developer, advancing learning analytics and interoperability through xAPI, cmi5, and LTI plugin development for Moodle, helping organizations better track and improve learner experiences. His focus is on creating scalable, efficient, and future-ready learning environments.

CEO of Blindside Networks

Fred Dixon is the co-founder of BigBlueButton Inc. and the CEO of Blindside Networks Inc., the company that provides world-wide commercial support for hosting remote and on-premise demployments of BigBlueButton.

BigBlueButton is integrated into the core of Moodle Workplace and provides built-in tools for active learning and live analytics to ensure every student learns.

Head of Engineering at Moodle US

Eric, a father of four from Michigan, joined Moodle in September 2021 and currently serves as the Head of Engineering for the US operations.

In this role, he oversees both the custom development and infrastructure teams. Prior to joining Moodle, Eric spent 15 years working as a Moodle developer and administrator at a public university. 

He holds both a B.S. and M.S. in computer science. In his role at Moodle he has worked closely with several US Federal clients, including the Department of Homeland Security, the Air Force, the Coast Guard, and the Army.
